Online classes are available to both traditional and recent high school graduates. Online courses are flexible, cost-effective, and offer a wide range of academic opportunities. Online learners can take hybrid courses that combine online and classroom instruction. Santa Clara University conducted a survey of hundreds of distance learners to find out how online learning has impacted their lives. Questions were asked about how they interact with professors and peers, whether they can study in a virtual setting, and whether or not they recommend online learning. More than half of the respondents appreciated and recognized the benefits of online classes.

Online learning offers many benefits, including the flexibility of scheduling. Some programs allow students to begin a course right away, while others require them to wait for the approval.
